11:06a - Take Five Minutes
Things I Will Do Over the Coming Four-Day Holiday: (In no particular order)
• Write 100 measures. • Compile list of Yuletide .mp3s for coworker. • Three posts here: 1.) Re. the Stereolab concert; 2.) Re. "Song Poems" 3.) Re. a third thing which I have an idea of but no easily distilled synopsis, and which involves memory and "indie rock" and a certain band. • Clean all parts and accessories relating to the Yeti. • Inventory stock of alcohol and of herbs, harvest those other herbs I'll need, and begin macerations for what will become the next batch of absinthe. • Look into local honey suppliers ~ namely, are there any? • Mail parcels. (For anyone who is expecting any music or miscellany from me in the mail, it has either recently shipped or will ship today or over the weekend.) • Finish that current project involving ProTools. • Catalogue samples. Begin process of edits. • Locate and purchase AKG c535eb. (Thanks, Opiata Girl. I hope you're having fun on your trip.) • Finish application for Naropa, and all essays. • Get details of proposed trips to India, and back across the country. Detail routes there and back again. • Email yet another follow-up to the wankers at the NCBTMB. • Get wedding gift for Leah and Hal. Attend their party. • Write M. and J. to decline offer as it stands to house-sit in VT and to resume supervisory duties for GMI/SIB. • Mail out a letter of recommendation to them. • Letters to Cris, emily, Mir. • Friday night(?) and Saturday morning classes at Tiger Crane. Ask Sifu about writing a letter of recommendation. • Clean out and condense all files on Frank Rizzo and related volumes. • Contact Amore re. their request to record them. • Purchase nylon strings and all remaining cabling. • Restring both acoustics; clean bass. • Find out if Jus Jus is serious re. giving away that drum kit. • Cook copious amounts of food for second and third Thanksgiving celebrations (the first was last weekend, among friends in Newburgh).
